Nightcap Brands is delighted to announce a new partnership with Konik’s Tail Vodka.

This iconic Polish Vodka brand was launched in 2011 by Pleurat Shabani and is one with a keen following among Londoners, particularly in West London and it’s 5 Star Hotel Bars.

Nightcap is to support the brand’s growth in the UK as Konik’s looks to expand into international markets.

Ciaran McNicholas, CEO of Nightcap said:

“We are thrilled to be able to work with a brand such as Konik’s Tail.
The Vodka category in our portfolio is a spot which we were determined to fill with a brand which looks smart and has an interesting provenance and the story of Pleaurat and how Konik’s came to fruition, could not get more captivating!

As a team, we are delighted to be able to work with Pleurat in maintaining and growing his customer base here in the UK”

Pleurat is synonymous with the brand he has created and is a well-known and much-loved figure within the industry. His story is as incredible as it is interesting, from his humble beginnings in war torn Kosovo where he dropped out of school aged 15. Pleurat moved to London in his early 20’s with barely two pennies to his name. He started working as a Pot Washer in a restaurant in the West End and after a brief period of homelessness and a succession of jobs, began working in bars collecting glasses before moving on to bartending.

From glass collector to bartender to spirit connoisseur, Pleurat slowly but surely moved up the ranks, creating recipes for distilleries, judging international spirit tastings and meeting suppliers and producers all over the world. During this period he decided to create (…he dreamed of creating…) his own vodka brand.

Years of research followed and Pleurat took to the farms of Poland to find out for himself what made truly excellent vodka. He would sleep beside the grains – waking to test, every day, the effect of the soil, the climate, and the harvesting processes. After much experimentation and trial and error, Pleurat settled on the final recipe for his vodka which features three grains- Spelt, Rye and Wheat.

Today, the brand is famed for the quality of its martini’s and is used in such prestigious venues as Dukes and The Connaught Hotel, benefiting from a huge following among leading bartenders.
